The Team:
Our Temporary Site Services team plays a pivotal role in the success of our projects and is a key part of our self-delivery model. As we’re on the cusp of our next big leap, this is an excellent opportunity for you to make your mark in a growing part of our business.
Overview:
This role will ensure our temporary M&E solutions are accurately priced and that commercial performance is effectively managed throughout our project lifecycles. You will play a key role across both Pre-Construction and Operational functions, working closely with Project Managers, the Pre-Construction team, and the Temporary Site Services Operational Lead.
Responsibilities:
Tendering & Estimating
- Support tendering activities for new works alongside the Pre-Construction team.
- Review and interpret design drawings, scopes, and technical documentation.
- Benchmark solutions and costs using internal project data.
- Prepare clear, accurate scope documentation for tender submissions.
- Liaise with subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations.
- Contribute commercial and technical input for bid submissions.
- Identify Risks & Opportunities and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Commercial Management
- Oversee all commercial aspects of Temporary M&E works across McGee projects.
- Manage variations and maintain robust change control processes.
- Monitor project costs and develop accurate weekly and monthly forecasts.
About you:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Commercially sharp rather than necessarily formally qualified as a QS
- Experienced in the MEP / M&E sector or similar environment
- A strong communicator who can influence and build relationships
- Highly proficient in Excel and commercial reporting
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Flexible and willing to travel to London approx. once per week
We have offices in Southwark and Heathrow. Ideally this role will be based at our Heathrow Yard SL3 0LP.
