McGee has won the Contractor of the Year (turnover over £25m) at the 2019 Construction News Specialists Awards.
The inspirational winners of the 2019 Construction News Specialists Awards were crowned in front of the industry on 27 March at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
The Construction News Specialists Awards brought together over 750 of the UK’s leading specialist contractors for a glittering evening of celebration, recognition, and networking.
After a face to face review by a panel of over 70 expert judges, McGee won for especially impressing with two of the projects the company had taken on – construction works for The Londoner Hotel in Leicester Square and major iceberg basement for Claridge’s Hotel. These were described as “risky projects worthy of an award at any level”. The family-owned nature of the business also helped tip the award in McGee’s favour.
