Last week, eight aspiring young engineers from Westminster Kingsway College had a unique opportunity to explore life behind the hoarding during a site visit to our South Molton project in the heart of Mayfair.

In partnership with Morgan Sindall, the students pursuing BTEC Level 3 Engineering qualifications were welcomed onto the construction site to gain firsthand experience and insights into various aspects of the industry. Prior to the visit, the students shadowed professionals from different teams within Morgan Sindall, including administration, quantity surveying, and management.

The immersive experience gave the students a comprehensive understanding of the diverse roles and responsibilities of complex engineering projects.

As efforts to address skills shortages within the construction sector intensify, partnerships between educational institutions and industry leaders play a crucial role in attracting and nurturing the talent of tomorrow. Initiatives like this serve as invaluable opportunities to ignite passion and curiosity among young people, paving the way for a brighter future in construction.
