Over twenty students from Uxbridge college and Women into Construction attended a taster session hosted by McGee and CITB-Construction Skills, the Industry Training Body and Sector Skills Council for the construction industry.
In addition to learning more about construction and the many roles it has to offer, the apprentices were given a sneak peek into life behind the hoarding at our 90 Long Acre site in Covent Garden.
Martina Oyite, Head of Learning and Development at McGee, said
“The apprenticeship taster session was a huge success. It was an opportunity to give apprentices an informative introduction to our industry, showcasing all it offers. Events like these play a vital role in changing the image of construction and will help address the industry’s skills shortage.”
