Good Causes

One of the greatest rewards of our success is that we are able to support many worthy causes.  Over the years we have shown support for numerous charities – both local and national, big and small.

McGee employees are not afraid to challenge themselves to achieve incredible things.  We have had runners in the British 10k, a team of cyclists in the London to Brighton challenge, and a team of over 20 employees bravely abseiled the ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower (the UK’s tallest sculpture!) at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

We’re well known for getting our pink high-vis on, holding cake sales and decorating our site offices every October to support Breast Cancer Now’s annual “wear it pink” campaign.  For the past four years we are proud to have supported the campaign which has seen us raise in excess of £16,000 which has gone directly to support vital breast cancer research.  It’s one of our charity engagement highlights of the year – and an event everyone looks forward to as it is a cause close to the hearts of many.

Some of our charity partners look to us to help in other ways.  We have a well-established partnership with Dallaglio RugbyWorks who we support through the provision of employability days for their young people.  We thoroughly enjoy talking to them about the varied career opportunities available within this exciting industry.

Charity of the Year 2018

McGee’s support for The Lighthouse Club is longstanding and we are delighted they are our Charity of the Year 2018.

To launch the partnership, we have dedicated the advertising space of one of their tipper trucks to The Lighthouse Club.  The liveried truck features the charity’s distinctive purple and grey branding across its entire body and has taken to the roads of London to highlight our support for the charity, whilst raising awareness of the charity’s inspiring work.

In 2018 McGee employees will run, cycle and trek in aid of The Lighthouse Club testing strength, stamina and mental grit through a variety of challenges.
