Specialist contractor McGee announces the appointment of Darren Wickins as its new Environmental Services Director.
Darren joins the board of McGee Group (Holdings) Limited as Environmental Services Director charged with growing and integrating the Group’s asbestos removal and remediation services division. Darren has more than 20 years experience working in the environmental support services sector, particularly specialising in asbestos management.
In his career to date, Darren has held a number of high profile leadership positions, delivering challenging multi-million pound contracts in the defence, banking, transport and public sectors for clients such as Sir Robert McAlpine, Skanska, Costain and Land Securities. He has successfully delivered the UK’s largest asbestos removal project which had a value in excess of £30m.
In 2012 Darren joined the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) as a Governing Council Member. ARCA represents the interests of the UK’s asbestos removal contractors and associated asbestos businesses.
