A TRULY INTEGRATED DELIVERY SOLUTION FOR EDWARDIAN HOTELS LONDON’S LATEST DEVELOPMENT, “THE LONDONER”
McGee has provided a truly integrated delivery solution for Edwardian Hotels London’s new development in Leicester Square, London.
From the complex asbestos removal works and completing the demolition of the existing structure, to the design and installation of major temporary works which allowed us to remove 180,000m3 of spoil whilst excavating the deepest commercial basement in London, at 34m deep.
Construction of the ground floor slab which sits atop the 6-storey basement structure was a significant point in the project, but it also signified the commencement of the final phase of works – construction of the 9-storey RC frame which sits above.
“The Londoner” is due to open its doors in 2020 and will boast a 350-bedroom hotel and cinema complex, bars, restaurants, event and leisure facilities.
