Congratulations to the ‘McGee Mudders’ who conquered Tough Mudder Yorkshire on Sunday 7th August in aid of McGee’s Charity of the Year, Joining Jack – the charity that is fighting to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Mud pits, icy waters, 12 foot walls, underground tunnels and 10,000 volts of electricity are just some of the obstacles that the McGee Networks team overcame at Tough Mudder 2016.
Ten employees braved the grueling 12 mile course, working together as a team to overcome 28 obstacles designed to test strength, stamina and mental grit.
Despite the mental and physical challenges, the teammates kept each other motivated and together they managed to complete the course in just over four hours.
Hannah Wroe, Finance Support – McGee Networks, said: “We ran 12 miles working together as a team to overcome the obstacles. It was crazy muddy fun with amazing team work for a fantastic cause – we smashed it!”
After proudly crossing the finish line with their Joining Jack t-shirts looking a little worse for wear, the whole team still managed to beam big smiles at the camera and display a rather muddy Joining Jack salute.
Through the team’s Just Giving page, they are delighted to have raised nearly £400 for Joining Jack, which will help continue to fund vital research into finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
