Construction sites can be hazardous places to work and McGee takes its health and safety responsibilities seriously. A commitment to safety extends throughout the company. Employees are fully trained and equipped to perform their tasks safely. Every operative on site is provided with appropriate safety clothing, tools, materials and plant that is fit for purpose. Safety awareness is treated as a priority. McGee develops a culture that promotes an injury-free working environment. Every employee has the authority to stop work if it is not deemed safe. The company exceeds requirements to provide the safest workplace possible for employees, subcontractors, clients and other visitors as well as for those who work or live close to any project. The Introduction of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994, (Amended and strengthened 2007) has emphasised the requirement to employ safe methods of working and to minimise the risks arising on construction/demolition projects. Apart from compliance with H&S Directives, the company’s many years experience enables it to assess each site and determine the safest, fastest and most economic ways to fulfil its responsibilities.
