McGee Cycle Safety Awareness Event is announced

As a champion for safety, on and off our projects, we are determined to play our part in making cycle journeys as risk free as possible.  We are committed to working directly in the community and want to ensure that local people benefit where possible.

That’s why our project at One Nine Elms, Market Towers, Nine Elms Lane, Vauxhall, London, SW8 5NQ will be hosting a free Cycle Safety Awareness Event on Tuesday 29th July between 07:30 and 10:30.

With 15 minute drop-in sessions taking place on the site, you will:

  • receive cycle safety advice, free bike markings and registrations from the Metropolitan Police Cycle Task Force
  • receive free cycle safety checks and maintenance advice from premier bicycle maintenance provider, Havebike
  • exchange places with an experienced driver, Police or Fire Officer and sit in the seat of one of our very own Cycle Awareness branded Tipper Trucks, or one of the London Fire Brigade’s fire engines, to get a better understanding of what the driver can and can’t see
  • receive first aid advice from St John Ambulance to help be prepared in the event of an emergency
